Judging
Wizard Within will review drawings, and winners will be selected based on the following equally weighted criteria:
- Imagination
- Creativity
- Interpretation of the illustration theme
All drawings will not be judged by experience or technical skill.

FAQ
The contest is open for children between ages 3 to 12 at the time of entry. The child’s parent or guardian must submit the drawing.
No, you must complete the entry form and upload your child’s drawing to our website.
You can use a smartphone to take photos. Ensure good lighting, but avoid using a flash. Make sure to take the photo straight so the angles are not skewed. Finally, crop the photo if there is extra background around the worksheet.
Parents or guardians can submit one entry per child only.
Congratulations! We will notify the winner’s parents or guardian by email and phone. In addition, The top 10 winner’s drawing will be transformed into a character by Wizard Within’s illustrator and appear on one of our “Brave Katie and the Great Ocean Adventure” pages. The top 10 winner will receive a complimentary copy of “Brave Katie and the Great Ocean Adventure” and a certificate.
The contest submission period ends at 11:59 pm (UTC+8, Malaysia Time) on 31st July 2023.
Terms & Conditions
- The Wizard Within #CreateMeContest (the “Contest”) is open to children aged 3 to 12 years. Proof of age may be requested by Wizard Within (“We”) for entrants.
- The Contest is free to enter.
- To participate, participants must complete and upload their drawing worksheet through the provided Drawing Submission form on Wizard Within’s website, with the help of their parent or guardian. The information will only be used for the Contest and will not be retained longer than necessary.
- The worksheet must be scanned or photographed as instructed; failure to do so will result in disqualification.
- Participants must obtain consent from their parents or guardians before entering the Contest. We may request proof of parental or guardian consent.
- Only one entry is allowed per participant. The name on the worksheet must match the information provided in the Drawing Submission form. Entries submitted on behalf of another participant will not be accepted, and joint entries are not permitted.
- We are not responsible for lost, delayed, misdirected, or incomplete entries due to technical or other reasons.
- The Contest submission period is from May 26th, 2023, to July 31st, 2023 (UTC+8, Malaysia Time). Entries received after this period will not be eligible.
- The Crowd Favourite Award voting period is from August 1st, 2023, to August 14th, 2023 (UTC+8, Malaysia Time).
- Winners will be announced on August 28th, 2023 (UTC+8, Malaysia Time).
- The Wizard Within team will choose 10 winners, including the most voted eligible entries.
- Each top 10 winner will receive a complimentary copy of “Brave Katie and the Great Ocean Adventure” and a certificate. Additionally, the winner’s drawing will be transformed into a character by Wizard Within’s Illustrator and featured on one of the pages of the book.
- Winners will be notified via their parent’s or guardian’s email and phone within 30 days after the voting period ends. If the parent or guardian cannot be reached or fails to acknowledge the notification within 7 days, it will be considered a rejection, and the prize will be forfeited. We reserve the right to select a new winner.
- The prize will be shipped to the winner’s address as provided in the Drawing Submission form after the publication of the book, “Brave Katie and the Great Ocean Adventure.”
- The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
- Winners may be required to participate in promotional activities by Wizard Within, including the use of their photograph, name, and age for publicity purposes related to the prize.
- By agreeing to these terms and conditions, parents or guardians consent to Wizard Within publishing the winner’s name and age on wizardwithin.com.
- Any personal data submitted by participants will be used in accordance with current Malaysia data protection legislation and Wizard Within’s privacy policy.
