Wizards Out of the Office!: Wizard Within at Bangkok International Book Fair and Bangkok Rights Fair 2026
Where are the wizards heading to this time?
Our producer, Pei Yen, and illustrator, Jessica, flew all the way to Bangkok, Thailand to attend the Bangkok International Book Fair (BKKIBF) and Bangkok Rights Fair (BKKRF)! Organised by the Publishers and Booksellers Association of Thailand (PUBAT), the two-week event included 358 Thai and international exhibitors across 1166 booths. The fair took place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, where Wizard Within represented Malaysia alongside Karangkraf, Biblio Press, and Kotabuku. Pei Yen and Jessica had so much fun visiting the different booths and flipping through the wide variety of Thai and international literature. There were also various activities, talks, panels, and book signings happening throughout the fair!Â
At BKKRF, Pei Yen and Jessica also got to meet various publishers and distributors from around the world. At Wizard Within, we always try our best to expand our horizons and making friends at events like these is incredibly eye-opening and inspiring! We even had the chance to eat with the Malaysian delegates in Thailand after attending the Thai Tourism Fair. A big thank you to PUBAT for organising this event and we hope to visit again!Â
