
What’s not to love about Teddy Bear Cookies? They’re crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside and very very chocolatey! These Beary Yummy Teddy Cookies are easy to make with simple ingredients, and they’re perfect for any occasion.
Without further ado, read on for the secret recipe we received from one of our cuddly friend—Teddy from Teddytown:
How to make Beary Yummy Chocolate Chip Cookies (Easy for kids too!)
Cookie Dough Ingredients:
- 🍪 Unsalted butter 110 gram
- 🍪 Brown sugar 100 gram
- 🍪 White sugar 50 gram
- 🍪 Egg 40 gram (room temperature)
- 🍪 1 Egg yolk (room temperature)
- 🍪 All purpose flour 100 gram
- 🍪 Cake flour 60 gram
- 🍪 Baking soda 2 gram
- 🍪 Cornstarch 4 gram
- 🍪 A pinch of salt
- 🍪 Chocolate button 60 gram
Decoration Ingredient:
- 🍪 Chocolate button 30 gram
- 🍪 White chocolate button 30 gram
- 🍪 Chocolate balls
Steps:
- Chop chocolate button into small pieces.
- Put cold but soft butter into a bowl, mix with a mixer at medium speed.
- Scrape butter at the side of the bowl with a spatula and mix it again.
- Add brown sugar and white sugar into the bowl and mix it again.
- Add 1 egg yolk into the butter-sugar dough and mix it thoroughly at high speed.
- Then, divide and pour the 40g egg 3-4 times into the batter and mix well at high speed.
- Sift all purpose flour, cake flour, corn starch, baking soda and a pinch of salt into the batter.
- Mix and fold with spatula until all the flour disappears into the dough.
- Mix the chopped chocolate into dough with spatula.
- Freeze the dough for an hour.
- Preheat oven at 210°C for more than 10 minutes.
- Take dough out and divide dough into 100g and place them on baking paper with big spaces between the doughs.
- Bake cookie doughs at 190°C for 20 minutes.
- Take cookies out after 20 minutes and let it cool for 15 minutes.
- While cookies are cooling, melt the dark chocolate buttons and white chocolate buttons for decorating using bain-marie.
- You can mix a little bit of dark chocolate into the melted white chocolate to get a light brown colour for the bear nozzle.
- Use melted chocolate as glue to stick the chocolate balls on the cookie as bear ears.
