Extended Activity: DIY Pop-up Tent Craft For Kids!
If you have Mum! Dad!! Where are You? you have a Let’s Explore booklet! Here’s an idea for how to decorate your campout scene. Download the tent template here and follow the instructions. Don’t forget to tag us on social media if you make a tent. We’d love to see it!
Step 1:
Cut out your template and fold on the lines as shown.
Step 2:
This step is a bit tricky! Form the tent by pulling it together so the sides meet in the centre.
Step 3:
Trim off the points so the bottom of the tent is flat.
Step 4:
Decorate your tent! Use stickers, paper punches, washi tape, anything you have. Be creative!
Step 5:
Lay the tent flat and place it where you want it to go in the booklet.
Step 6:
Carefully glue the tent into the booklet and wait for the glue to dry.
Step 7:
Fold the booklet shut…
Step 8:
Then pop it open! What else can you add to your camping scene? Sleeping bags? A campfire? Barbequed food? Use your imagination and have fun!
